This throwing taster is an introduction to learning how to throw on a potters wheel.
Join me with your friend or loved one in the studio for a 2.5 hour session of getting to grips with the basics. We will cover clay preparation, centring, and making bowls, and you can choose your favourite pot each to be glazed and fired for you to keep.
This session is 2-to-1, and you will each take it in turns on the potters wheel. You’ll be kept busy in between turns by wedging clay, weighing up lumps to throw with, and encouraging your partner on.
No previous experience required. Tools, apron, towel and hot drinks provided.
